Different types of music can directly affect the way that people feel. Music has as certain power to evoke emotions, ideas, and creative inspiration. For example: one might like to jog to fast techno or pop to keep their tempo going. One might listen to jazz when painting because of the intellectual qualities. What kind of music do you listen to the most and for what reasons? Also, do you think that it should be used in an educational environment? If so, please provide some suggestions! No answer is wrong so go for it!
Music has been a part of nature for as long as the world has known sound. In band, choir, and orchestra, we will be perusing a myriad of musical styles because our creation of music must be in sync with the style of a specific time period. It would just be odd to play a sweeping line of music from the Romantic Period fast with clipped notes! It would also be odd to try to add layers of sound upon a piece from the Renaissance, where the textures are very light and dance-like. What period of music do you find the most fascinating? Please explain why.
Do you think that music is an essential part of education? Why or Why not?
